Still Here!

Well, it appears I have been slacking quite a bit and not creating any new posts – shame on me.
My apologies loyal fans, I know you have just been dying to know what I have been up to or to read some more of my amazing ramblings. Just know, I am working on it (for real real).
This blog thing is still a bit new to me and I have so many things I want to write about and share with you all about all the Craft Beerventures and news and fun stuff I have come across recently and in the past few years. It will take me a little bit of time to get my mountains of pictures, notes, and random bits of info into something a bit more organized for this blogging thing…I can get a bit scatter brained and distracted at times (hard to believe, right?).

SQUIGGLE!!

I must make a confession. Craft beer is not my only beverage addiction…er…obsession…love? Regardless…in the last few months as I have transitioned into a new job, one of those regular day jobs like us adults are supposed to have, I have needed a little assistance in the energy/making it through the day department. If only I could just take a little siesta in the afternoon instead, but they kind of frown upon nap time under the desk here.

There happens to be this amazing, quaint little coffee shop that is right across the street from my new place of work. I will give a little shout out to the place…thank you Seven Elephants for getting me addicted to your awesome beverages! My wallet may be a little sad, but my taste buds are happy and that makes a big difference to this lady.

I have begun to frequent the place, almost once a day at least, during my work week. I was never much of a coffee drinker before, still really am not, but they have this delicious concoction called a squiggle that has really got me stuck…good thing I can get it in decaf too. Caffeine tends to make me talk REALLY fast, I guess I haven’t built up my tolerance yet.
If fact, I am drinking one of those delectible treats right now…and I seem to be able to type faster too! AMAZING! That’s also why it feels like I am rambling a bit…caffeine…talky talky talky! But this beverage is so yummy I had to talk about it. I just HAD to.
Nothing like some free advertising from a fan.
You can get the Squiggle in all kinds of flavors, quite awesome, but I prefer the Pumpkin Spice flavor (no whip). They also make amazing fruit smoothies…because they use the awesome “Squiggle Juice”.
And that concludes my caffeine induced rant on this subject.

Don’t Forget To Be A Kid

No matter what, we are all someone’s kid…no matter how old we get. So don’t forget to let go sometimes, enjoy the simple little things in life (yummy beer fits into that category…just saying. For the 21+ crowd of course…ehem.) and just have fun. Forget about all the “grown-up” stuff you have to do, just get silly. Spend time with friends and family, enjoy their company while you can. Jump around, dance, freestyle walk…you can worry about being sore in the morning when it happens.

Make lots of silly faces. Don’t worry, your face won’t stay that way…maybe.

It’s pretty simple. Everyone is allowed to be a kid, because we are all kids. So don’t forget that. Don’t let all the world’s stress weigh you down. Take some time for yourself, take deep breaths throughout the day. Remember that there is something amusing in every aspect of life.
Go grab a beer and cheers with friends, family, happy strangers…meet new and interesting people. Get off your butts and make happy memories. Just try not to fall down on your bum too many times.

There, now that I got all that sappy positivity out of me…wait, it’s not sappy, it’s happy. I like being happy. So there.

I’m going to go ponder about how we are all made from stars now. And probably have a beer…that was made from stars too!
